Project Overview

THE PRODUCT:

Baloo Delivery App help people make their order online and get delivered while discovering new restaurant in their neighbourhood.

THE PROBLEM:

Individuals struggle to find the time to cook at home. Some don’t even have the time to visit a restaurant. The challenge was to find a way for these individuals to order and receive food at their own convenience.

THE GOAL:

Design a mobile app that lets users order their meals quickly and easily from their favorites restaurants.

What I learned

Through the process of designing the Baloo Delivery App, I discovered that initial ideas are merely stepping stones towards the final product. The application of usability studies and insights from peer feedback significantly shaped each progressive iteration of the app's design. I came to appreciate that one of the essential aspects of product design is establishing early and frequent engagement with users. Continually addressing and challenging our own biases was another persistent yet enlightening hurdle during this process.

What's next

1. Conduct another round of usability studies with a wider range of participants, to determine whether the current solution effectively addresses the users’ pain points.
2. Taking the time to integrate inclusive user research.
